Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Tech Media in Irvine, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and proactive approach will support a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor the location for unusual activity and report any security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and / or contractors while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
