Accounting Consultant

Bookkeeper

RGP is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to support our client. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a hands-on approach to managing financial data.

Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Maintain and manage inventory records, ensuring proper valuation and tracking.

Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.

Prepare and review the trial balance to support monthly and year-end close processes.

Record and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and financial reporting requirements.

Assist in identifying process improvements and implementing best practices in bookkeeping.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics GP).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote and onsite.

Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.

Pay Range : $40-50 / hour
