Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center is a veterinarian-owned, 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital offering services in anesthesia, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, and ophthalmology. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nursing Assistant to join our

Surgery and Anesthesia team.

About the Role

The Veterinary Nursing Assistant will support our board-certified anesthesiologist and surgeons in providing advanced patient care. This individual plays a key role in managing appointments, assisting with inpatient treatments, and ensuring the readiness of the surgical suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and communicate findings to the clinician.
• Safely restrain patients during examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform basic vitals, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and mucous membrane assessment.
• Assist with IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
• Prepare, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and operating rooms.
• Support inpatient nursing care according to hospital standards and protocols.
• Educate clients during discharges on bandage care, post-op monitoring, and medication administration.
• Perform callbacks and refill medications as directed.
