job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMechanical aptitude - knowledge of machines and tools including design, use, repair, and maintenance Proficient with the normal use of computer software / hardware Solid understanding and application of basic math principles Review / generate completed production documentation for quality requirements Meet all stated timing deadlines for documentation Perform and / or facilitate on the job training for new operators Facilitate and perform the ongoing development and training of operators Act as liaison to coordinate activity with support groups as needed Supervise completion of work by assigning work to crew members on an as needed basis, with preference given to facilitating work flow as a team approach Oversee all control room operations Ability to act as a supervisor in the event that they are absent Openly share and communicate all production priorities to crew Foster and promote an atmosphere of teamwork Attend production meeting, report the daily packout / thru-put and downtime, delay issues (i.e. late truck arrivals, mechanical / equipment downtime, etc.) Complete all training assignments as required by operations to meet performance, safety and quality expectations Read, understand and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) Participate in departmental reviews / updates current SOPs / WIs / Forms and writing of new SOPs / WIs / Forms Participate in troubleshooting, efficiency and improvement activities, including corresponding documentation activities Complete job tasks to meet department schedule Strong commitment to safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care 14001 (RC14001) / Environment, Health, Safety, & Sustainability (EHS&S) management system Conform with the EHS&S Policy and the Cardinal Rules Maintain a safe and secure workplace and meet environmental site requirements Support the EHS&S objectives and targets, and any specific action plans or management programs assigned Understand the EHS&S risks and impacts of the employee's job and functional area, including appropriate controls and procedures Understand the EHS&S impacts / consequence that could result if specified procedures are not followed Report accidents and incidents to a supervisor or the EHS&S department Participate in required EHS&S training Other duties as requested. Maintain a safe, legal, and environmentally protective operation; Listen to our customers, suppliers, and employees; Respond quickly to customer concerns; Follow set guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality, and food safety requirements; Maintain training on applicable procedures in quality, GMP, and food safety; Report any food safety, security, and / or quality issues to management or the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) team to initiate action; Provide flexible and innovative strategies to support new business opportunities; Be cost effective in the utilization of our resources, thereby contributing to the profitability of Peter Cremer North America, LP and our customers; Strive for continuous improvement; Willing and eagerness to learn; Maintain positive "Can Do" attitude.
Night Shift Flaking Shift Lead
SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor, the Flaking Shift Lead is responsible for leading the production crew in daily responsibilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Kind & Length of Experience :
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Position-specific vocational education / experience, training, or certification is preferred
- Stand up forklift certification required; in house certification will be provided prior to start.
- At least one year working in the flaking department or as a chemical operator in a similar facility
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
Customer Service, Teamwork & Code of Conduct :
7 : 00pm-7 : 30am (2-2-3 schedule) will work every other weekend
