Position : Hall Monitor

Pay : $15.45+ / hr

Job Type : Full-time

Shift : 1st Shift - 7 : 30a-4 : 30p

As a Hall Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and orderly conduct of students and staff within school hallways and common areas. This role is essential in fostering a secure and structured learning environment.

Duties :

• Monitor hallways, entrances, restrooms, and other common areas to enforce school policies.
• Ensure students follow established rules and behavioral expectations.
• Assist in conflict resolution by de-escalating situations and reporting incidents to appropriate staff.
• Provide supervision during passing periods, lunch breaks, and before / after school.
• Check student passes and ensure they are in designated areas.
• Assist in maintaining a secure school environment by identifying and reporting potential safety concerns.
• Escort students to and from designated locations as needed.
• Assist with visitor check-ins and ensure only authorized individuals enter the building.
• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols.
• Collaborate with school administration and staff to support student behavior and school-wide expectations.

Firm but approachable demeanor to effectively interact with students.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff.

Basic understanding of school policies and procedures.

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in a school setting, security, or similar role preferred.

Must pass a background check.

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Ability to quickly respond to situations across various school areas.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
