Summary of the Role
The Triage Specialist reports directly to the Triage Coordinator and serves as an initial point of contact for shelter guests. Responsibilities include completion of the Triage assessment, identifying barriers that brought the guest into the shelter, encouraging guests to consider shelter services tracks, and / or connecting them with resources in our community. Triage Specialist is responsible to provide and record all related documentation. The Triage Specialist provides communication and a warm introduction to the case manager. This position provides spiritual support, guidance, and encouragement for all guests.
