Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg and Telemetry.

The facility is licensed for 457 beds and serves as a Level 3 Trauma Center.

It is recognized as a Stroke Center of Excellence and a Bariatric Center of Excellence.

The average patient census is 51 per day.

Patients typically have chronic diseases, including CHF, COPD, DM, and require geriatric care.

Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and non-titrating cardiac drips is essential.

Skills in managing tubes and drains, IV start, blood product administration, and wound care are required.

The department offers support from a Nurse Manager, Clinical Supervisors, and staff RNs.

Technology used includes an EMR system, transfer devices, telemedicine carts, and various diagnostic equipment.

Floating may be required to other facilities within the region.

Weekend rotations are expected every other week with holiday work for 75% of holidays.

RTO requests can be approved for up to 6 days off, excluding holidays.
