Position Title : Environmental Scientist (Air Specialist) Location : Crane, IN (Onsite, with up to 2 remote days / week if base work not required) Start Date : ASAP Clearance : Active Secret Position Summary We are seeking an Environmental Scientist (Air Specialist) to provide compliance support under the Clean Air Act / Title V program at Crane, IN. This role will focus on inspections, permitting, documentation, and regulatory reporting to ensure ongoing compliance with federal and DoD requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct monthly site inspections for Clean Air Act / Title V compliance. Prepare required permit reports (quarterly, semi-annual, annual, emissions inventory, etc.). Develop permitting packages and maintain compliance documentation. Conduct VOC reviews for new hazardous materials. Perform annual audits of Ozone Depleting Substances. Stay current with federal and state air quality regulations. Support DoD audits and inspections with corrective action plans (POAMs). Participate in large project management and coordination with contractors. Contribute to Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) compliance efforts. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related field. 3+ years of experience in Clean Air Act compliance and permitting. Strong knowledge of Title V regulations and 40 CFR. Proven ability to conduct environmental compliance inspections and close out findings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels. Local to Crane, IN (within 30 miles) or willing to relocate. Active Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications Previous Department of Defense (DoD) experience (contractor or direct). 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
