Position Overview : We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Preconstruction Engineer to join our team. The Preconstruction Engineer / Manager plays a critical role in the early stages of our projects, overseeing the planning, estimating, and bidding processes to ensure the successful initiation of construction projects. This role requires a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate project planning.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets based on project plans and specifications.
- Analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive advantage and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage the bidding process from start to finish, including bid invitations, proposal evaluations, and subcontractor selections.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely submission of bids and compliance with project requirements.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance.
- Recommend alternative materials, methods, and designs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Evaluate project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues during the preconstruction phase.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the preconstruction phase, providing updates on project progress, budget adjustments, and schedule changes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to foster collaboration and ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications :
Prefer Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldProven experience as a Preconstruction Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.Strong proficiency in estimating software and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, etc).Benefits :
