Head of Field Payer Team

A company is looking for a Head of Field Payer Team to lead payer engagement and access initiatives for gene therapies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coach a team of Account Executives for market access activities with payers and treatment centers

Collaborate with payers and stakeholders to enhance access offerings that demonstrate the value of gene therapies

Drive integration and engagement across market access and commercialization teams while maintaining compliance standards

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in account management, market access, or sales within the biotech / pharma industry

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in pharmacy, science, business, or finance

Expertise in US payer dynamics, particularly in cell and gene therapy markets

Proven leadership experience with remote or field-based teams

Established relationships with US payers and treatment centers, with experience in negotiating alternative payment models
