Dexter has an opportunity for an Industrial Automation Engineer at our manufacturing facility located onsite in Albion, IN or Elkhart, IN. Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Director of CIP and Automation, analyze and interpret data from manufacturing processes to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and support decision-making in automated environments.
• Process Analysis : Evaluate current production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
• System Design : Design, implement, and optimize automated systems and processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual labor.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies, such as robotics and software solutions, into existing systems.
• Feasibility Studies : Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for potential automation projects.
• Documentation : Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
• Performance Monitoring : Monitor and evaluate the performance and reliability of automated systems, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
• Training and Support : Provide training and ongoing support to staff on new automated systems and processes.
• Industry Trends : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation and industrial engineering.
• Dashboard Development : Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and track progress over time.
• Trend Identification : Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in production data to recommend actionable improvements.
• Collaboration : Work closely with engineering and operations teams to implement data-driven strategies for process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Continuous Improvement : Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
