RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

  • Work on a 30-bed surgical oncology unit (Floor C4, Building Tower C)
  • Patient ratios of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6
  • Day shift staffing : 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs, 2 PCTs
  • Night shift staffing : 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs, 2 PCTs
  • Weekend requirement : Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month
  • Use of equipment including Baxter pumps, SCD machines, Mobilab, glucometer
  • Electronic medical records system : Meditech
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills and compassion / empathy
  • IV insertion experience preferred
  • Chemotherapy experience preferred
  • Perform medication administration, chest tube management, NGT management, and Foley management
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • BLS certification required
  • Float to Medical Oncology and Med / Surg units as needed
  • Must adhere to facility attendance policy
