We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to oversee and manage payroll operations for a healthcare organization in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This Contract-to-permanent position requires an individual with expertise in multi-state payroll processing, compliance with governmental regulations, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. As a key member of the Finance and Accounting team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting organizational strategies and ensuring smooth payroll operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Administer biweekly payroll processes for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to manage payroll functions, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and court-ordered deductions.
  • Research and prepare documentation for setting up payroll systems in new states, ensuring adherence to local and state requirements.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports for senior management, HR, and finance departments on a scheduled basis.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally to maintain confidence and resolve issues.
  • Support audits and internal reviews by providing accurate payroll data and documentation.
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and coordinate with HR and vendors for direct payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental reporting requirements while maintaining robust control processes to safeguard company assets.
  • Review and recommend improvements to payroll systems and tax procedures to align with best practices.
  • Manage changes in payroll systems for new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employee updates based on approval guidelines.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
  • Proven expertise in handling multi-state payroll operations.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as UKG Pro and UKG Ready.
  • Ability to manage payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees.
  • Proficient in account reconciliation and generating payroll reports.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formula usage.
  • Knowledge of approved timesheet processes and workforce management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality in all payroll matters.
