Description :

The unit has 30 beds and a staff of 43.

The team includes 1 Unit Supervisor, 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians on day shift.

On night shift, there is 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 6.

Common equipment used includes O2, JP Drains, central lines, Foley catheters, and chest tubes.

The electronic medical record (EMR) system is utilized for patient documentation.

The ideal candidate will exhibit compassion and empathy with a positive outlook and a strong work ethic.

The unit follows guidelines for bedside shift report and hourly patient safety rounds.

This position requires rotating weekends.

Floating areas include Med / Surg Telemetry in-patient units and Observation Unit.
