Overview

Foresight Health Solutions LLC (FHS) — creator of Caliper — is looking for a Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE)–style data professional to work on site with our partner, an integrated health and social services provider based in Santa Ana, CA.

This is a hands-on, hybrid (on and off site) placement supporting our partner's groundbreaking work at the intersection of healthcare, housing, and community impact. If you’re excited about using data to make real change — and want to see your analytics drive better outcomes for vulnerable populations — this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

Closely work with our partner's on-site team as their dedicated data and analytics resource.
Assess, design, and implement data operations including ELT.
Organize, clean, and analyze healthcare and housing data to support our partner's programs.
Build dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Caliper’s analytics platform.
Enhance data systems and workflows to improve accuracy and decision-making.
Translate data insights into operational actions — bridging analytics and impact.
Work closely with both our partner's leadership and FHS’s senior analytics team.

Qualifications

Strong technical aptitude : comfort with data engineering / analytics / dashboards / perhaps some coding (Python, SQL, R) or at least data-modelling experience, Azure or AWS experience.

Experience working with large, unstructured datasets and transforming them into usable data to ultimately obtain actionable insights.

Ability to work cross-functionally : you’ll interface with non-technical stakeholders (care teams, housing providers), understand their needs, translate into analytic requirements. This reflects the “forward-deployed” mindset : embedded in the customer / context, not siloed in a back-office.

Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills : you will explain analytics to different audiences, gain trust, and deliver value.

A problem-solving, entrepreneurial mindset : comfortable with ambiguity, willing to roll up your sleeves, build prototype solutions, and iterate quickly.

Commitment to a mission : helping the vulnerable and at-risk populations, wanting to make an impact in healthcare / housing.

Ability to travel or be on-site as required by our partner.

Also Preferred

Experience working directly in healthcare, housing, or community impact organizations.

Prior experience in a “forward-deployed” or on-site data role.

Familiarity with PowerBI and ELT workflow design.
