Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Berea, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and conduct routine patrols within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support your daily tasks, contributing to a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Control access to the manufacturing location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Carry out site-specific security-related procedures in accordance with established policies and protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or unauthorized individuals within the facility and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or activity.
  • Document and communicate security-related incidents, observations, and activities to the appropriate personnel at Allied Universal.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment for employees and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
