Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Mental Health Discipline : Therapy Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Mental Health Coordinator (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) Location : California City, CA Schedule : 5x8s | 1st Shift | Weekdays and Weekends Assignment Length : 13 weeks Position Overview The Mental Health Coordinator provides and coordinates non-medical clinical mental health services within a correctional facility setting. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to support the emotional and psychological well-being of inmates. Key Responsibilities Conduct mental health screenings and assessments using clinical interviews and available records. Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs and level of functioning. Provide counseling, therapy, and crisis intervention services to inmates. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of evaluations and treatment activities. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques. Ensure confidentiality and professional ethics are upheld at all times. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work , Psychology , Mental Health Counseling , or a related clinical field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience , including 2 years in a comparable position . Must hold an active LPC , LCSW , or LMFT license in the state of California.
