The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team at the Independence Mental Health Institute (IMHI). This is a part-time position with a strong opportunity for advancement, growth, and development, and includes an available shift differential of $0.90 per hour for second shift and $1.00 per hour for third shift.
LPNs at IMHI participate as members of an interdisciplinary team to provide direct patient care and perform general nursing procedures. In this role, you will be expected to effectively apply nursing knowledge and skills throughout the delivery of services, document client treatment and concerns, administer medications and communicate information and issues with supervisory and other nursing staff.

IMHI provides inpatient treatment and acute psychiatric services. The facility's offerings include individualized treatment plans and support for children and adolescent patients to continue their education. Individuals are encouraged to collaborate with staff members in formulating their own plan, which might include medication, group counseling and activities therapies.
