Fixed Asset Inventory Coordinator
This position is responsible for coordinating the county's fixed asset inventory and is engaged in the purchasing of supplies, materials, equipment and services by evaluating vendor quotes to obtain the best value for the County. Assist with research, preparation, solicitation and evaluation of sealed bids. Ensures compliance with Lubbock County's purchasing policy and state statutes. The work consists of related fixed asset management duties. The variety of asset types contributes to the complexity of the position. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of county operations.

Position Requirements :
Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required. Two years asset management and / or purchasing experience is preferred. Must be proficient in MS Office software programs. Must possess business and technical writing skills. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.

General knowledge of purchasing and business practices and procedures; General knowledge of county government organization and services; Record keeping and filing procedures; Perform computer processing and spreadsheet functions; Analyze and interpret data; Maintain accurate records and files; Proper public contact and telephone etiquette; Possess business and technical writing skills; Prioritize and schedule work to meet deadlines; Communicate effectively orally and in writing; Work independently in the absence of specific instructions; prioritize work and delegate tasks, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with county employees and the general public.
Physical and Environmental Requirements :
Maintain the ability to occasionally stand, walk, kneel, and bend during the shift. Reach, grip and use fine dexterity; Push and pull objects; This work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects. The work is typically performed in an office, stockroom, warehouse, or outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather.
Safety Recommendations / Requirements :
Must be knowledgeable about and follow the County's safety policies and procedures. Proper care and caution must be observed while driving County vehicle.
