Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team at Fostoria Community Hospital. This full-time, night shift role involves performing high-complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting, ensuring accurate, timely results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Required Qualifications :

Education :

Doctoral, Masters, or Bachelors degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, or

60 semester hours from an accredited institution with :

24 semester hours of medical technology courses or

24 semester hours of science courses that include :

6 semester hours in chemistry

6 semester hours in biology

12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical technology in any combination

OR meet alternate qualification routes for Testing Personnel for High Complexity Testing as detailed in §493.1489.

Experience :

Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved / accredited by ABHES, CAHEA, or another HHS-approved organization, or

Meet alternate experience routes for High Complexity Testing Personnel per §493.1489.

Certification :

American Society of Pathology (ASCP) MLS or Categorical eligibility at time of hire, with certification achieved within one year of hire.
