Job Description
Adelphi is seeking Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support the delivery of speech and language services for students in a school district located in Lancaster, South Carolina. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, providing direct therapy and assisting with the implementation of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences.
- Completion of an SLPA program approved by ASHA or the state licensing board.
- Active South Carolina SLPA License through LLR (if required).
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred. Responsibilities :
- Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Implement treatment plans and IEP activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Collect and record student progress data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with preparing therapy materials, documentation, and progress reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA.
- Support continuity of care by delivering consistent services or ensuring smooth transition if reassigned.
