What You'll Be Doing
As a Business Development Analyst , you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding CIBC Private Wealth's market presence. You'll focus on outbound marketing, strategic business development initiatives, and proactive engagement with high net worth prospects and referral sources. You'll collaborate closely with Business Development Officers, Senior Relationship Managers, and the Marketing team to execute and enhance business development strategies.
How You'll Succeed
Sales growth and outreach Lead outbound marketing efforts through targeted phone calls, emails, and digital campaigns. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with high net worth individuals and institutional prospects. Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and drive revenue growth.
Event planning and execution Plan, organize, and execute business development events, including seminars, webinars, and client appreciation events. Manage attendee outreach and follow-up to maximize event impact.
Strategic development Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine business development strategies. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
Relationship management Build and maintain relationships with external referral sources, including money managers, registered investment advisors, law firms, and investment banking firms. Support intermediary relationship management and special projects.
Marketing and promotional activities Prepare presentation materials and marketing collateral for client meetings and events. Assist with administrative aspects of marketing activities and public relations initiatives.
Reporting and analysis Provide insights and analysis on business development activities, event outcomes, and market opportunities. Deliver regular reports to senior management on progress and results.
Who You Are
Educational background : Bachelor's degree required.
Experienced : Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing within financial services.
Sales-focused : Proven ability to drive sales growth through outbound marketing and strategic initiatives.
Client-oriented : Strong client service orientation and relationship management skills.
Strong communicator : Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Collaborative and independent : Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
Organized and analytical : Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to anticipating client and team needs.
Tech-savvy : Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
Financial acumen : General understanding of financial markets, investment vehicles, and financial planning.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected base salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
