About The Position
Weekly Pay # - Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Oregon Care Center, MO
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in residents of a skilled nursing facility.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations and physician orders.
- Provide direct therapy services to improve communication skills, cognitive-linguistic functioning, and safe swallowing.
- Conduct and interpret swallow assessments; recommend appropriate diet modifications.
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries according to regulatory guidelines.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy plans, communication strategies, and safe swallowing techniques.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings, contributing to resident-centered goals.
- Regularly monitor and adjust therapy plans based on resident progress and clinical outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with professional, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFYs) and / or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as required.
- Work collaboratively in a skilled nursing / long-term care environment, assisting residents with complex medical needs.
