Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology

Digestive Disease Consultants is seeking a full-time EXPERIENCED (two years or more, in GI) APRN or DNP, to work with a Board Certified Gastroenterologist on our team. Bilingual preferred. We provide award-winning GI & Liver care to adult patients through our offices in Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, and Lake Mary.

Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities :

• Diagnose and manage adult patients in a private practice, community, and outpatient general GI clinic setting.
• Prescribe common GI / Liver medications and treatments.
• Perform and document comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
• Develop and implement practice patient management policies & procedures.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and facilities.
• Communicate effectively with supervising physicians, referring physicians, and other specialists as needed, regarding patient care.
• Document services by accurately charting and maintaining records in EHR.

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications :

Current State of Florida Practitioners License.

Masters or DNP degree.

Certified by the AANP or ANCC.

Two years of general Gastroenterology and Liver disease experience.

Ability to engage and build rapport with patients.

Skills in patient education and counseling.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in computer skills with a willingness to learn new applications.

Ability to work respectfully and collegially with clinical support staff.
