Overview Senior Content Designer role at Sigma. Sigma is building a cloud-native business intelligence platform that enables users to analyze data without programming. We are growing the product design team and seek a designer who can understand users and design world-class, understandable experiences. You will be part of a talented team of designers on a shared mission to make data analytics highly usable and accessible to non-technical users.
What You Will Be Doing Own and shape the user-facing language and content strategy for key areas of the product, helping to define the future of the product.
Work with a data-obsessed, collaborative team to iterate, learn, and ship value to customers together.
Translate complex data concepts into clear, intuitive language, enabling users to confidently build analyses and find insights even if they are not highly technical.
Own the end-to-end content design process for major product areas, from strategy and research to final copy and implementation.
Collaborate with PMs, researchers, marketers, product designers, and engineers to solicit user feedback and advance content solutions that improve adoption, comprehension, and usability.
Champion content accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring in-product language and information architecture are understandable by users of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Develop scalable content frameworks, design system practices, terminology, and glossaries to ensure a cohesive voice across the product.
Qualifications We Need 5+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, copywriting, or a related field for complex digital products.
Strong portfolio showing process for creating and implementing effective content, from UI microcopy to information architecture.
Proven track record designing content for commercially successful, world-class software.
Ability to work autonomously, lead complex projects, and deliver high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
Capability for rapid iteration, feedback cycles, and experimentation; deep understanding of customer needs with ability to incorporate feedback.
Ability to think about entire content systems and the big-picture vision, with practical ability to break it down for incremental engineering delivery.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills; ability to explain content decisions and advocate for users across the company.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, English, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Expertise in Figma and collaboration within design files.
Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, or other complex technical domains is a plus; startup experience is a plus.
Portfolio Requirements Show work that demonstrates content strategy, information architecture, and UX writing, with examples of released work.
Show your process and evolution : present business problems, constraints, assumptions, and significant iterations leading to the final product.
Demonstrate how your content solutions advanced company objectives while meeting user needs; examples of style guides, glossaries, content testing, and naming exercises are encouraged.
Portfolios featuring work on complex, data-heavy products are a plus.
Compensation Compensation for this role will be around 180-210K, depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Base pay is part of the Total Package, which may include stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.
