Operating Room Scrub Technician

POSITION TYPE : Allied Health

SPECIALTY UNIT : Operating Room Scrub Technician

LOCATION :  White Plains, NY Westchester County

SHIFT :  $63,386 - $95,090

JOB TYPE : Full-Time Permanent

Job Description :

Work in collaboration with the surgical team to provide care to the patient during a surgical / invasive procedure.  Assist with coordination or supplies, instrumentation and equipment for the surgical procedure.  Performs scrub duties for various surgical procedures / specialties following established department / hospital policies and procedures.  Must be able to take call in compliance with hospital / department policy. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.

Responsibilities :

  • Effectively uses laboratory equipment.
  • Performs and reports testing on patient specimens and OC specimens rapidly and without delay.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing testing procedures.

Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of OR tech experience.
  • Looking for Surgical Techs with experience in all services.
  • Strong Ortho and Neuro a plus as well.
  • Certification by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization.
