Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with at least 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in the Cath Lab of a short-term acute care, teaching Level I trauma hospitalPatient population consists of high acuity cardiac and interventional casesShift is 4x10s, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, with weekend work as needed, usually every other weekendOn-call required : 18 days of call in an 8-week periodFloating required to pre and post Cath Lab, and may also float to other units or affiliate hospitals based on skill and census needsEquipment used includes 1 GE and 1 Phillips systemCharting is done using Cerner EMR; Cerner experience preferredCall team typically consists of one RN and two techsRNs may be the sole nurse on the call team and must capably manage all patient needs and procedures during high acuity casesOrientation modules completed during first week of assignmentRNs can wear any scrub color of their choiceFree parking is available on siteCandidates must work 2 out of 3 specified holidays; no RTO allowed during first week of assignment due to orientationReturn travelers are ineligible if they cancelled a previous contract within 10 days of start date or must wait at least 12 months if previously employed as perm, PRN, or EP staffAll employees are expected to adhere to medication administration and patient safety standardsRequirements
Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license requiredMinimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications requiredMust have experience with SEMIMust be comfortable handling all aspects of high acuity full-service Cath Lab independently, including during call shiftsPrior Level I trauma or high acuity experience preferredFirst-time travelers are not accepted for this positionMust provide two professional references, including one from most recent employer within the past yearBenefits
