Data Scientist / Software Engineer

Quick Position Facts!

Location : Virginia Beach, VA at our wonderful G2 Ops office.

Work Setting : In person, some remote opportunity and / or flexible working hours, not a fully remote position.

Looking to Start : May 2025

Salary Range : $130-$150K plus benefits

Openings : 1 Full-Time Role

Years of Industry Experience : 5 + years of relevant experience

Security Clearance Requirement : Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance

Knowledge Requirements : Qualifications :

• Data Science Degree preferred
• Technical Skills :

Proficiency in Python and R for machine learning and data analysis.

Proficient in vector, relational, and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Apache Cassandra)

Active in all software development stages, including system requirement analysis and deployment of machine learning models

Strong understanding of software design principles, including modularity, scalability, and maintainability. Ability to architect, design, and document software solutions that meet business requirements and integrate seamlessly with existing systems

Coordinate design and population of databases to support machine learning operations

Ensure software and machine learning models adhere to development standards

Let's talk salary.  The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 and goes up to $150,000 based on your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus excellence awards for recognition, your performance will be rewarded and appreciated, we promise!

Still not convinced?  Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented  Data Scientist. This exciting position will have the chance to work on just about any aspect there is as it pertains to Data modeling, Software engineering, Machine Learning and AI.

What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in the design, development, and demonstration of SysML model generation techniques to automate the creation of new models of systems using static text-based design documentation.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active  DoD Secret level clearance .
