We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly organized Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead our team. The ideal candidate will be a strong operational leader with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and team development in the post-acute and long-term care setting.
Position Summary
The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator oversees all day-to-day operations of Newark Rehabilitation. This position ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, maintains financial performance, and upholds our commitment to quality care and resident satisfaction. The Administrator will provide leadership and strategic direction for all departments, driving excellence across clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all facility operations in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Hire, train, and supervise department managers; conduct regular performance evaluations.
Conduct frequent facility rounds to monitor quality of care, cleanliness, and staff engagement.
Ensure resident and family satisfaction by maintaining open communication and resolving concerns promptly.
Oversee QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) processes and follow up on outcomes.
Manage census development and the overall admissions process.
Maintain accurate and timely reporting of Self-Reported Incidents and risk management events.
Ensure all departments stay within their approved budgets; review and approve invoices weekly.
Participate in monthly AP calls to explain budget variances and resolve vendor concerns.
Monitor daily staffing levels, including nursing PPDs and departmental FTEs; address overtime trends.
Review housekeeping and dietary audit reports weekly and submit to the RDO.
Utilize Monday.com or similar tools for project tracking and operational accountability.
Oversee compliance with HIPAA, safety, and ethical standards.
Review and monitor MDS Case Mix Index (CMI) and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate documentation.
Participate in utilization review and quality indicator meetings.
Lead with a positive, team-oriented approach that promotes a culture of respect, service, and accountability.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations.
Qualifications
Active State of Ohio Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license required.
Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Strong understanding of State and Federal regulations , Life Safety Code , and survey readiness.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build positive staff culture.
Excellent financial management, organizational, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with residents, families, and staff.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Monday.com , and other management software preferred.
