job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. 5 years of additional related experience might be substituted for a degree. 10+ years’ experience as a Linux System Administrator with a strong knowledge of Red Hat 8 & 9 Must possess strong knowledge of a wide range of cloud services and solutions, such as AWS. Experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Red Hat Satellite and Red Hat Image Builder. IAT II certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security / CySA+ / GICSP / GSEC / Security+ CE / CND / or SSCP) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Certificate. Experience with installing, configuring and maintaining Rocky Linux or Red Hat 10, Amazon Linux 2023 Microsoft Azure products, VMWare (VSphere), OpenStack Experience / Knowledge of Virtual Desktop deployment and configuration automation. Knowledge in writing, configuring, and deploying Ansible Playbooks. Strong knowledge in writing and implementing other scripting languages like Python and Bash Scripting. Expertise in managing and arranging JIRA projects, backlogs, sprints. Expertise using Git commands (GitLab / GitHub) to manage / push / pull projects and implement file version controls. Must have a current / active Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders / teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication
Mantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, TX supporting the Linux Orchestration Services (LOS) team which is the standard of excellence for all things Linux within the agency .
The team delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Cloud Infrastructure Services hosted in multiple cloud environments.
- Provides Tier I / II and Tier III (Escalation to Architecture Team) resolution of customer capacity requests. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.
- Provides connectivity and utilization support to Cloud Infrastructure Services managed cloud environment customers.
- Provides customer support through chat, email, and capacity request ticketing.
- Responsible for deployment of new solutions into existing cloud resources on or off-premise infrastructure.
