Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Ammon, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling retail locations to help create a secure environment for visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will represent our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first, helping to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for everyone at the location.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $17.68 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 01 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Sat 01 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Sun 01 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and / or site leadership regarding incidents, concerns, or requests for assistance.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any observed policy violations or unusual activity.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
