We’re looking for an engaging technical content creator and trained woodworker with at least three years of experience.

About this role : As a technical content creator at Shaper you’ll be focused on both strategically creating an awareness of Shaper’s products within key markets, while also generating and hosting tutorials and livestreams for our growing customer base. Drawing on both your skills as a seasoned woodworker, and your innate ability to know what makes “good content,” you’ll be responsible for a steady stream of media finding its way to our social platforms. In coordination with our global marketing team and social media manager, as well as other content creators at Shaper, you’ll use a mix of data and customer feedback to constantly iterate and hone your approach. Being comfortable in front of the camera is key to this role, and twice a month you’ll co-host our livestream Shaper Sessions alongside other Shaper staff.

Where You'll Work :

You’ll join our team in our workspace in San Francisco's SoMa district. You’ll have access to our 5000 square foot workshop which is fully kitted out with all the woodworking machinery you could ever wish for. This role also requires travel to trade shows, Shaper events, and other customer visits several times throughout the year.

The Job :

• Produce a steady stream of engaging technical content for Instagram stories and reels, YouTube videos and more
• Research, design, and create new pieces of furniture or prototypes to use as a backdrop for content
• Document content using basic phone camera setups, as well as working in collaboration with our in-house videographer
• Co-host our twice monthly livestream, Shaper Sessions
• Contribute designs and projects to our collection on ShaperHub
• Contribute technical support to our community of ambassadors
• Assist in the production and preparation of our ongoing Woodworking Masterclass series
• Participate in in-person events and demos across the country with our sales and marketing teams
• Create props and other pieces to support ongoing photo shoots
• Provide regular product feedback and voice of the customer to our internal development team
