Director Of Facilities
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Director Of Facilities. The Director Of Facilities will be responsible for overseeing facilities maintenance operations, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives for resort and convention center maintenance, repairs, costs, guest service satisfaction, and safety. Maintain operation and physical appearance of the resort to assure the comfort of guests and quality working conditions for associates.
Key responsibilities include :
- Facility maintenance and upkeep. Ensuring all buildings, grounds, amenities, and equipment are well-maintained and safe for guest use. This involves regular inspections, repairs, and managing maintenance staff.
- Budgeting and financial management. Managing the budget for facilities maintenance and operation, ensuring cost-effective solutions for repairs, upgrades, and services without compromising quality.
- Guest experience management. Overseeing the delivery of beyond-expectations guest experiences related to the resort, amenities, and facilities.
- Vendor and supplier management. Coordinating with external vendors for specialized services, equipment, and supplies needed to maintain resort facilities, including negotiating contracts and ensuring timely service.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff management. Worked closely in different departments like marketing, operations and guest services to ensure seamless guest experience and maximize the resort's potential. Supervising and training the facilities management team, including maintenance staff, housekeeping, and other support personnel. Ensuring staff adheres to resort standards and is responsive to guest needs.
What we're looking for :
5+ years field experience working hands-on at a large operation in a maintenance role7+ years of leading a team(s) in a Manager / Director roleMust be an empathetic leader who empowers their team to outperform themselves dailyPre-opening experience of a large operationProficient in Microsoft 3655+ years of Capital management and budgeting experienceStrategic preventive maintenance management experience (HotSOS / Mobaro or similar)5+ years of Central Plant hands-on experience and or management oversight of Central Plant operationsStrategic mindset leading a team(s) through challenging operational and troubleshooting scenariosProficient with managing vendor partnerships, contracts, and regulatory complianceExcellent business acumen and negotiation skillsMust be driven and passionate about Facilities maintenance and operationsAvailable 24 / 7 as needed and able to work weekends / evenings / overnights to satisfy the business demandsA sampling of our benefits :
