Our company is seeking a qualified professional to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments. You will work with clients to develop positive behavioral interventions and supports that are tailored to their individual needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of individuals who are struggling with challenging behaviors. You will work closely with families and other professionals to provide comprehensive behavioral assessments and develop effective, evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive functional assessments of behavior, identifying patterns and underlying causes
- Develop evidence-based interventions and supports for individuals with challenging behavior
- Work with families and caregivers to implement interventions and monitor progress
- Provide training to families, caregivers, and other professionals on evidence-based behavioral interventions
- Keep detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with challenging behaviors
- Stay up-to-date on research and best practices in the field
Requirements
Master's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, or related fieldBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and NYS LicensureExperience conducting functional behavior assessmentsStrong understanding of evidence-based behavioral interventions and treatmentsExcellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise mannerHighly organized and detail-orientedAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentAbility to work independently and effectively manage your own caseload
