Scale Clerk
We are currently hiring a Scale Clerk to join our team at the Bossier City Transfer Station. This role is essential to the daily operations of the facility, ensuring accurate weight tracking, safe practices, and excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Greet and direct all customers and contractors upon entry to the transfer station
- Weigh trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers
- Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures
- Ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
- Perform full clerical and general office duties
- Assist with office duties, filing and paperwork as needed
- Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Provide general upkeep of the Scale House
- Generate regular reports summarizing transaction data, weights, and other relevant information
- Provide reports to management as required
