Position Overview
1st Step Healthcare Training is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable CNA Program Instructor to teach and guide students in the classroom. The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with at least 3 years of nursing experience, committed to preparing students for successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective classroom instruction following the CNA curriculum.
- Teach theory-based lessons and guide students through hands-on skills practice in the classroom lab.
- Evaluate student performance through quizzes, assignments, and skills check-offs.
- Provide mentorship, encouragement, and academic support to students.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records.
- Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure all instruction complies with state CNA training program requirements.
Qualifications
Current, unencumbered LPN license in the state of Michigan.Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Teaching or training experience preferred, but not required (training provided).A passion for education and student success.Schedule & Compensation
