Requirements :

MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent

Successful completion of an approved residency training program in Anesthesiology

Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or in the certification process

Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Iowa

Expertise in general anesthesia or subspecialty areas such as ambulatory, cardiovascular / thoracic, neurosurgical, obstetrical, pediatric, regional, and transplant anesthesia.

Responsibilities :

Provide anesthesia services across multiple clinical areas, including ambulatory, cardiovascular / thoracic, obstetrical, neurosurgical, pediatric, regional, and transplant anesthesia

Independently manage anesthesia care and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations

Supervise and mentor medical trainees, including residents and SRNAs

Collaborate with CRNAs and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Perform invasive procedures, including ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and line placements

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and HIPAA regulations

Participate in academic activities, including teaching and clinical research (preferred)
