Load Specialist

Job Description

Base Pay Rate : $18.00 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential

Shift : 3pm-11 pm Monday-Friday (Overtime-10 hrs daily & possible Saturdays)

Duties and Responsibilities :

Load product on trucks for delivery in a timely and safe manner, using appropriate packaging methods for safe transport
Inspect and change all pieces for the correct bundle, crate, etc. to correspond with bills of material
Properly complete load inspection sheets and return them to shipping office personnel
Unload bundles of product off of lines, placing bundles in proper areas of the plant
Will be operating spot trucks to pull trailers
Must perform other duties in the department as assigned
May be required to work Monday and Tuesday also

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is a must

A fundamental understanding of truck loading procedures is a plus

Must be able to operate a forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various department equipment

Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Must possess a good attendance record

Must be willing / able to work overtime and available to work all shifts

Must be willing / able to work outside in all weather conditions

Must be a responsible individual who is a self-starter

Must possess excellent communication skills in order to interact in a professional manner with internal / external customers

Must be detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.

Must be a team player and safety conscious

Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools

Willingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead crane

Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

Preferably with experience in manufacturing

Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
