Load Specialist
Job Description
Base Pay Rate : $18.00 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential
Shift : 3pm-11 pm Monday-Friday (Overtime-10 hrs daily & possible Saturdays)
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Load product on trucks for delivery in a timely and safe manner, using appropriate packaging methods for safe transport
- Inspect and change all pieces for the correct bundle, crate, etc. to correspond with bills of material
- Properly complete load inspection sheets and return them to shipping office personnel
- Unload bundles of product off of lines, placing bundles in proper areas of the plant
- Will be operating spot trucks to pull trailers
- Must perform other duties in the department as assigned
- May be required to work Monday and Tuesday also
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is a mustA fundamental understanding of truck loading procedures is a plusMust be able to operate a forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various department equipmentMust be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Must possess a good attendance recordMust be willing / able to work overtime and available to work all shiftsMust be willing / able to work outside in all weather conditionsMust be a responsible individual who is a self-starterMust possess excellent communication skills in order to interact in a professional manner with internal / external customersMust be detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.Must be a team player and safety consciousComfort and familiarity with power hand toolsWillingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead craneAbility to work effectively to meet deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentGeneral mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instrumentsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistPreferably with experience in manufacturingPreferably with experience reading a tape measureSite Address : 300 Welcome Center Blvd, Lexington, NC 27295
