Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Drapery Fabric Cutter to join our dedicated production team. This role is the critical first step in creating high-quality, custom draperies. The Fabric Cutter is responsible for accurately interpreting work orders, calculating fabric needs, and precisely cutting fabric to specification. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional mathematical abilities, mastery of measuring tools, and expert scissors skills to ensure the highest standards of quality and material efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

• Read and interpret detailed work orders to determine fabric type, dimensions, pattern repeats, and specific cutting instructions.
• Perform precise calculations to determine the required yardage, accounting for hems, headers, and pattern matching to ensure optimal material usage and minimize waste.
• Accurately measure and mark fabric using professional tools, including tape measures, yardsticks, and rulers.
• Expertly cut large panels of drapery fabric using scissors, ensuring perfectly straight lines and adherence to all specifications.
• Inspect bolts of fabric for any flaws, defects, or inconsistencies prior to cutting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cutting table and workspace.
• Collaborate with the sewing and production teams to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
