Security Officer Wage : Starting at $15 / hour

As a Security office you would be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of team members, guests, and guest property according to Suburban Inns’ Core Values and Suburban Inns / Embassy Suites standards and going above and beyond to ensure that guests are 100% satisfied.
Security Officer Essential Functions :
Report to work in professionally appropriate attire, presented neat and cleanGreet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valuedAnticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step furtherBe alert for fire hazards and unsafe work practices and unsafe conditions.Ensure compliance with hotel and security SOPBe able to act according to all emergency proceduresEnsure that all safety and security supplies are well maintained.Maintain good public relations with guestsConduct regular patrol of the property to ensure all areas are safe and secure.Display the essential hospitality attitude / professionalism when dealing with internal and external guests; communicate verbally and nonverbally with them in a pleasant and professional manner.Be alert for any unusual occurrences and take appropriate actionEnsures all areas of the hotel are secure when not in use.Monitors life safety systems including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguishers and sprinklersEnsures security camera system is fully operational and functionalAssist in the training of team members on emergency and security proceduresAssist all associates with questions, problems which might occur.Enforces a quiet environment for sleeping guests.Be familiar with the hotel’s amenities and their hours of operationFill out guest and team member incident reports as necessaryHandle sensitive incidents with discretionCoordinate with government and law enforcement agencies as necessaryAssist in maintaining the cleanliness of all parking and lobby areasEnsure guests and employees receive proper security escorts, as requiredAssist other departments as neededEnsure QA compliance with Hilton / Embassy Suites standardsExhibit regular and recurrent attendance recordsOther duties as requested by managementPosition Requirements :
Minimum Knowledge : Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. Requires typing, record keeping, and / or word processing. Good communication skillsFormal Education and Job-Related Experience : High school diploma or equivalent related experience preferred. Security related experience preferred.License, Registration, and / or Certification Required : Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Valid driver’s license. TIPS, CPR certifications (may be completed upon hire)Work Schedule : Work regularly requires or varies between day, evening, night, holiday, and / or weekend assignments. Schedule varies according to business demands and needsSecurity Officer Uniform and Appearance Guidelines :
Uniform : Uniform and name tag provided. Close-toed, non-slip shoes are the responsibility of the Team Member.Appearance : Hair must be kept well-groomed. All facial piercings and tattoos that are not covered by a work uniform must be approved by management. Any tattoo that is deemed offensive to co-workers, guests, vendors or others in the workplace based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive or legally protected nature are not permitted and must remain covered or concealed at all times. This policy will be administered by the position’s supervisor, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, height, weight, genetics, familial status, veteran status, and other protected characteristics.
