Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to support our retail stores by performing repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment in the Bakery, Produce, Meat departments, Deli, and common areas.
Responsibilities Include :
- Evaluating and repairing retail equipment
- Providing support to our new stores, remodels, and PAD programs
- Housekeeping tasks such as vehicle inventory, cleaning, credit card statements, and related paperwork
Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalentAt least three years of experience in mechanical / electrical troubleshooting and diagnosis of food preparation equipmentMust be at least 20 years old with a valid driver's license and an excellent driving recordMust obtain Natural / Propane Gas certifications within 180 days of hireAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periodsWillingness to be on call 24 / 7 for emergenciesWillingness to travel to various stores, including overnight stays and extended periodsBasic knowledge of Lock-out / Tag-out procedures and Food SafetyAbility to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, brazing, mechanical, natural, and propane gas equipmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management skillsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Proficiency in Outlook and ExcelGood human relations skills and ability to work as part of a teamEnthusiasm, initiative, and pride in workCommitment to Publix and its MissionPreferred Qualifications :
