Role Overview :
We’re looking for a technically skilled professional to install, configure, and maintain security systems while integrating them with IT / network infrastructure . You’ll work with CCTV, access control, alarms, cloud platforms, and IP networks, providing technical support and troubleshooting for clients across Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities :
- Install, program, and maintain CCTV, card access, alarms, and electronic panels
- Configure and troubleshoot IP-based security systems, cloud platforms, and networked devices
- Apply networking knowledge : TCP / IP, VLANs, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Commission and test security / communication systems for proper operation
- Read and apply technical drawings, scopes of work, and manufacturer documentation
- Document system configurations, service calls, and project progress
- Provide client training and technical support
- Participate in on-call rotation; travel statewide including occasional overnight stays
Requirements : Qualifications :
2+ years experience in security system installation and IT / network troubleshootingElectronics or IT technical backgroundFamiliarity with networking standards, IP cameras, CATV, and wireless systemsTechnology certifications (Networking Fundamentals, Access 101, Video Surveillance 101, CompTIA Network+) preferredManufacturer certifications (Bosch, Panasonic, Crestron, Telecor) preferredStrong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skillsExperience working at heights using lifts and laddersValid driver’s license and clean driving recordPhysical Requirements :
Physical Fitness : Ability to ascend / descend ladders and stairs, and access elevated areas to inspect system components installed at various heights.Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently.Hand dexterity to manipulate and handle materials.Capability to lift up to 50 pounds daily; heavier lifting with mechanical assistance or team support.Mobility : Comfort and safety in navigating tight spaces, crawl spaces, attics, and other installation areas.Vision : Visual acuity in at least one eye of 20 / 40 or better without corrective lenses, or over 20 / 70 combined vision with corrective lenses; ability to distinguish colors.Note : The physical requirements listed above are representative but not exhaustive of the job demands.
