Shipping Receiving Lead
The Shipping Receiving Lead will oversee and assist with daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of produce and materials. This role involves monitoring deliveries, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with food safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of produce and materials.
- Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure correct quantities, documentation, and quality standards are met.
- Perform physical inspections and counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and prevent spoilage or loss.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, fulfillment, and quality assurance teams to meet scheduling requirements.
- Ensure all food safety protocols (HACCP, GMPs, etc.) are followed during handling, storage, and transport.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of shipping / receiving areas in compliance with food industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS and or ERP : V18 & NetSuite).
- Maintain complete and accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and receipts.
- Ensure all shipping information is transmitted from V18 to NetSuite to run the automatic billing process properly.
- Address and resolve shipping issues promptly and report any discrepancies to management.
- Communicate receiving discrepancies and damaged or missing goods to the Purchasing team immediately.
- Match receiving documents with POs to support timely and accurate payment processing by Accounts Payable.
- Assist with shipping and receiving reconciliation to resolve goods receipt / invoicing and ship / billing mismatches.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in the receiving and documentation process.
- Assist in preparing reports and KPIs related to shipping, receiving, and inventory performance.
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse and office teams to ensure smooth cross-functional communication.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in a shipping / receiving or warehouse role, preferably in the food or beverage industry.Familiarity with food safety and handling regulations.Strong organizational and communication skills.Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems.Strong knowledge of receiving procedures, documentation requirements, and ERP / WMS systems.Fluency in English and Spanish.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain is a plus.Forklift certification is an asset.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based at an edible flower farm with refrigerated warehouses. Work is both outdoor and indoor, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4 : 30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 / hr.
