Business Development Senior Manager Banking & Private Credit

The Business Development Senior Manager Banking & Private Credit is an integral part of Latham's Business Development (BD) team. This role will be responsible for driving business development initiatives and enhancing client engagement within the firm's Banking & Private Credit practice, while serving as a subject matter expert within the BD Department for banking and private credit offerings. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Other key responsibilities include :

  • Developing and executing business development, client engagement, and marketing strategies for Latham's banking and private credit services, focusing on measurable impact and Return on Investment
  • Building and maintaining a deep understanding of the firm's client base and supporting efforts to secure new business while protecting existing relationships and market share
  • Generously collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategic projects and initiatives including but not limited to business and marketing plans, industry events, conferences, seminars, client teams, league table and directory submissions, panel Request For Proposals and pitches, among others
  • Analyzing, aggregating, and preparing partners to capitalize on intelligence and data across products, markets, sectors, clients, targets, and competitors
  • Articulating Latham's brand, value proposition, and market position across financial products and global economic centers, while connecting insights across the platform
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and / or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We'd love to hear from you if you :

  • Demonstrate superior understanding of global public and private financial markets, including the legal and financial aspects of banking and private credit products and services, trends, and players within the industry
  • Possess knowledge of BD services and marketing principles spanning Customer Relationship Management, client teams, Pitch and Request For Proposal responses, seminar / event / conference planning, client targeting, competitive and market intelligence, internal communications, branding, and research
  • Exhibit superior leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective management
  • And have :

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, economics, marketing, or law; preferably an advanced degree
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' progressively responsible business development or marketing experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
  • A minimum of five (5) years' supervisory / management experience

    Pay Range : USD $240,000.00 - USD $270,000.00 / Yr.
