Anesthesiologist opening in OH Located in Newark, 40m to Columbus Full Time and Permanent Position Accepts J1 & H1 Visas We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to join a hospital-employed group in the Greater Columbus, OH area. The role offers an opportunity to provide anesthesia care using a medical direction model with a mix of performing independent cases and directing CRNAs. The position primarily involves B & B cases including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, GI, OB / GYN, vascular, plastics, podiatry, and psychiatry. The hospital offers a busy orthopedic service, and proficiency with peripheral nerve blocks is a plus.This position also involves working in a modern, renovated facility with access to the latest technology and equipment. Additionally, there are monthly CME meetings and M&M conferences to ensure continuous learning and stay current with the latest practices in anesthesia care.Key Responsibilities : Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, GI, OB / GYN, and more.Administer anesthesia as part of the medical direction model, directing CRNAs and performing cases independently when necessary.Participate in preoperative assessments, including the incorporation of FoCUS (Focused Cardiac Ultrasound).Attend monthly CME meetings and M&M conferences to stay current in the field and discuss best practices.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.Compensation & Benefits : Annual base salary : $550,000Sign-on bonus : $50,000 (for a two-year commitment)Paid Time Off (PTO) : Approximately 250 hours per year for full-time physiciansRetirement : 403(b), 457, and a generous pension planMedical & Dental : Low-cost, self-insured PPO structureMalpractice : Paid occurrence-based malpractice coverageQualifications : Board Certification in Anesthesiology (must be B / C within 5 years of graduating residency or fellowship)J1 & H1-B visa candidates are acceptedProficiency in peripheral nerve blocks is a plusAbility to provide anesthesia for a variety of cases, with no cardiac, neuro, or trauma involvementHospital & Location Overview : Hospital Size : 227 licensed bedsAccolades : Top 100 Hospital for 14 consecutive years, rated A by The Leapfrog Group for hospital safety for five yearsLocation : Situated in Licking County, 30 minutes east of Columbus, OH, offering a variety of residential areas from affordable to affluentSchools : Top-rated public schools in Granville & New Albany with many excellent private school options nearbyCommunity Highlights : Enjoy scenic areas such as Granville, Newark, Heath, Pataskala, and close proximity to Columbus for urban amenities.
