HVCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital (CAH) with a full-service Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Surgical Services, as well as many Outpatient Clinics and Services, and a Rural Health Clinic providing Family and Pediatric care services. We have over 350 employees who serve the residents and visitors of beautiful Logan and Hocking Hills, Ohio. We are affiliated with OSU Wexner Medical Center and part of the Ohio State Health Network.

Your role as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP)

As a full time Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, you can expect to dive right into an engaging, fast-paced environment in our ICU. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve assessing, diagnosing, and managing critical care patients, collaborating closely with a talented team of healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for developing and implementing patient care plans, providing education to families, and navigating the complexities of Intensive Care with confidence and empathy. Your expected schedule will be Nights , allowing you to be part of a dedicated team that ensures optimal patient care even after the sun goes down.

To thrive as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, you'll need a robust skill set and a passion for patient care. As a graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program, you must be licensed to practice in Ohio and maintain good standing. Relevant professional experience is crucial, as is holding current BLS and ACLS certifications approved by the American Heart Association-don't worry, we provide classes for those who need to renew their certifications. Effective communication is key; you'll need to articulate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse array of audiences, including patients, families, and colleagues. Additionally, knowledge of Trauma Informed Care principles will enhance your ability to connect with patients and provide compassionate, customer-centric care. Experience with EPIC will be helpful and allow you to dive right in quicker.
