Under the supervision of the Medical Billing Coordinator, the Medical Payment Poster is responsible for posting payments, adjustments, and rejections to patient accounts in accordance with current policy and procedure. This will include all 835’s, EFT, and mailed payments. This position ensures that insurance company payments and adjustments are properly posted and balanced for all payment types. Will collaborate with the rest of the billing team to streamline workflows to maximize clean accounts. This is a full-time, hybrid remote position.

Requirements :

• Two years Medical Billing and / or Medical Payment Posting experience required (FQHC setting would be preferred)
• High School diploma or Equivalent required.
• Training or equivalent combination of education experience
• Medical terminology, CPT procedure codes, and ICD-10 diagnosis coding.
• Medicare, Medicaid and self-pay billing experience, a plus
• Knowledge of EHR systems required - eCW experience preferred.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to work alone as well as part of a team.
• Work confidently and efficiently in a fast-paced office with a multitude of other activities ongoing.
• Must possess great customer service, communication (written and verbal) skills and great phone skills.
