Level II PICU - 7 on / 7 off - Home Call - Work / Life Balance

Responsibilities :

Join a collaborative, mission-driven team at Rapides Women s & Children s Hospital with Pediatrix Medical Group.

Are you a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Intensivist looking for a fulfilling role with a flexible schedule and a supportive team? This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a well-established Level II PICU while enjoying 26 weeks off per year .

Your Clinical Scope

  • Inpatient Pediatric Floor
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
  • Pediatric Sedation Services
  • No ECMO or post-op hearts
  • Procedures include : intubations, lumbar punctures, line placement, chest tubes, CPR
  • Documentation : H&Ps, progress notes, discharge summaries

  • Pediatric Admissions : ~550 / year
  • PICU Admissions : 250 300 / year
  • Pediatric ADC : 6 | PICU ADC : 3
  • Subspecialty Support : Cardiology, Pulmonology, GI
  • Monthly Subspecialty Clinics : 1 2x / month

  • Central Louisiana s only PICU
  • A 19-bed pediatric unit
  • A 6-bed PICU staffed by Pediatric Intensivists
