JMT is seeking a motivated individual for designing and managing commercial, military, and general aviation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical civil aviation and / or aviation facilities design, task and project management, staff oversight, and project schedules and budgets. The candidate should be well-versed in aviation design and construction standards (FAA minimums; FAA and DoD preferred). The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable aviation civil engineer with design experience, construction knowledge, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee and mentor developing staff, provide project status updates to department management, and support coordination with clients and subconsultants. Work assignments may include management of small to medium design tasks, components of large design projects, and technical design of engineering tasks. Project types include airport runway, taxiway and apron design as well as facility projects such as Terminal building development and facilities repair or retrofit projects. Tasks typically include contract drawing development, design and construction schedule development, construction cost estimating, technical specification development, and meeting coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Assignments will be performed through knowledge of application design criteria, regulatory requirements, and standards and processes. The candidate will manage multiple design assignments, including oversight of design staff and coordination with clients and subconsultants; support the development of task / project scopes of work and personnel hour estimates; support the development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets; design and review critical design elements; and incorporate feedback from design reviews.

Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
