Responsibilities Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting in a hospital Serves a Level 1 Trauma patient population Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 May be required to float within the health system to similar or lower acuity units, excluding the ED May float to other hospitals within the system as needed, with notification two hours before shift start Required to work 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle and at least one winter holiday including the holiday weekend Uses Epic EMR; recent Epic or combined Epic / Cerner experience required Expected to maintain a positive and upbeat attitude RNs may be required to float at or below their skillset, including occasionally floating to another campus or location Holiday coverage is required as specified Return staff and travelers must wait 1 year after leaving before being eligible to return Maximum 7 days of requested time off; no new RTO after submission Scrubs or dress code not specified; please confirm during interview A supervisory level reference is required for consideration Requirements Active CA RN license (no EMSA) in hand at time of consideration At least 2 years of ICU nursing experience required Minimum 1.5 years of continuous specialty experience with no breaks in assignment, and 1 year total travel RN experience with at least 6 months continuous recent travel experience Level 1 Trauma experience required Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of consideration Recent experience (6 months) using Epic or Epic / Cerner charting system required No locals within a 100 mile radius or candidates on assignment in San Diego for the last 9 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625578.
